Title : Environmental Picnic at India Gate Report (2016 - 17)

18 students along with Ms. P Dhasmana participated in the Environmental Picnic held at India Gate on 13/4/16. The picnic was organised by the Delhi government and was focused on  on the ODD - EVEN scheme as well as the reduction of pollution level in Delhi. Minister of Transport addressed the students and it was a very enriching experience for all present.

Title : GRADUATION CEREMONY 2015-2016

"COHESIVE AND DIVERSE CO-EXISTENCE" That was the ethos the entire graduation ceremony was based on. The graduation day was held on the 24th February 2016 in the school Auditorium. It was meticulously planned and lined up with a number of events and entertainment programmes to  commemorate and celebrate this very important day which will eventually find a place of pride in the school Archives.

The programme was conceptualized and executed under the patronage of Mrs. Rashmi Nanda and a team of teachers and students of classes eight and nine.

The celebrations began with the lighting of the auspicious diya by Brother Beddoe, Principal, St.Columba?s, Mrs Sangeeta Sheel, Head Mistress, middle school, Br.Edwin and Mrs Beddoe.

It began with a welcome speech and the many items scheduled for the day were:
Religious chants by the orchetra
Carol singing
Class ten movies
Flute recital
Piano recital
Play
Dance performance
Speech by Br.Beddoe
Souvenirs to class ten students.
School anthem

Finally the students were bid good bye and were handed out souvenir and food packets.

Title : REPUBLIC DAY 2015 - 2016

The middle section of st.columba's school celebrated its 67th republic day. The celebrations began with a short speech delivered by pranjal preet alishan of class 9-D on the history and greatness of our leaders. It was followed by a patriotic song sung by our school choir. Kartik gupta of class 9-D delivered a message of patriotisim to all the students. During his speech our principal bro.beddoe emphasized the importance of good conduct to make our country better. Then mrs.sheel headmistress of the middle section reiterated the importance of republic day and made everyone say "jai hind" three times. The event adjourned with the national anthem.

Title : ANUBHUTI 2015 - 2016

TOPIC : "MAHILA SASHAKTIKARAN KA NARA,MAHILAON KO BANAYA AUR   BICHARA"

"Smt. Lalita Shastri InterSchool Debate Competition" - 'ANUBHUTIwas conducted by the Hindi Department on 09.10.2015 at Middle School Auditorium.

The programme began with the lightening of Lamp by Br.Edwin, Br.BeddoeThe Prinicipal, Mrs.Sheel, Headmistress (Middle School) and two children. Br.Edwin, Br.Beddoe and Mrs.Sheel, honored the judges. 

Chief Guests of the programme Smt. Manju Shastri, Shri. Anil Shastri, daughter in law and son of Late Smt. Lalita Shastri, along with Grandson Shri. Mudit Shastri and Br.Beddoe presented the trophies to the winners of the competition.

Title : Swimming Gala 4 & 6 [2015 - 2016]

A much awaited annual feature the swimming gala for classes 4-6 was held on 30th September 2015. An impressive number of 75 events were conducted enabling almost 25% of the middle school students a chance to participate in an event. The event was organized by Mr. Ajay Patil and his team of swimming coaches including Mr. Sawoo and Mr. Manoj. The judges were Mr. Shakti , Mr. Bhaskar  Mr. Sawoo and Mr. Manoj.

Title : Teachers Day 2015-2016

Prime Minister's Interaction with School students

On the eve of the Teacher's Day, the school made necessary arrangements for the students to watch the live coverage of the much awaited interaction between our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and school children from seven regions of India, through video conferencing. The session was held at the Manekshaw Centre and was broadcast through web casting and the website of Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Our students watched the live telecast of the event, in the Middle School Auditorium 10am. onwards. The students thoroughly enjoyed the candid answers given by our Prime Minister and were really inspired by the extraordinary talent and determination of many young achievers. They applauded the release of Rs 125 and Rs 10 coins to commemorate 125th birth anniversary off Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President, educationist, teacher and philosopher.

The Columbans recalled their experiences with encouraging and inspiring teachers who have touched their lives and played an instrumental role in shaping their personalities.

Title : Rhyme & Rhythm 2015 - 2016

The Annual Rhyme & Rhythm competition for the classes IV and V was conducted on 28th August, 2015 to commemorate the death anniversary of our founder, Edmund Ignatius Rice. The theme for the competition for class IV this year was Seasons i.e. Summer, Winter, Spring and Autumn. For class V the theme was 'The four elements along with Spirit'. The event was well attended by many guests and enthusiastic parents who were entertained with well recited poems and lively music all based on the theme for the year. The event concluded with prizes being awarded to the deserving winners by the Principal Br. Beddoe himself.

Title : Independence Day 2015 - 2016

The 69th Independence Day was celebrated in the Middle School with great enthusiasm. The programme began with an inspiring speech by Br. Beddoe. Then students dressed as some prominent freedom fighters raised their famous slogans. This was followed by class 9th and 10th students singing the song "Apani Azadi ko Hum Hargiz Mita Sakte Nahi". Then students dressed as professionals like Doctor, Journalists, Lawyers, etc. came on the stage to sing "Aa Chal Ke Tujhe Main Le Ke Chalun" signifying the contribution of youth in building nation. Thereafter, one class 4th student regarded the assembly with the iconic song "Sare Jahn Se Achha". The programme ended with the National Anthem.
